Year 1 was our introductory into the wealth of knowledge that this program delivers. Progressing through our meteorology and snow & avalanches 1 class set the foundation of development in data collection, observations and forecasting. The operational skills and risk management practices needed to accomplish professional avalanche training were embedded throughout the program and particularly in the snow, weather and avalanche technician and avalanche safety operations courses.
Below is a 2 year program timeline of learning artifacts and course projects that aim to display the state of comprehension and growth throughout my learning process in the Avalanche Science Program at Colorado Mountain College - Leadville, CO
